DIRECTOR

Charles formed Langeland Capital over 7 years ago, with a ‘working brief’ to identify both property and commercial opportunities that could yield a net return for the business. Year on year objectives have been met despite a very challenging decade. As a result of a lengthy apprenticeship served within the commercial property sector dating back to 1991 he has a comprehensive understanding of the nuances of the industry, with an emphasis on commercial and residential developments, entailing the identification of an opportunity; arranging financing; and seeing out the project to its end. He has succeeded in utilising this invaluable collection of skills to enhance the growth of Langeland Capital. Educated at the American International School in London leaving with a International Baccalaureate, Charles established several long-term friendships and associations, many of which he maintains today.

DIRECTOR

Neil is Langeland Capital’s co-founder with over 25 years’ experience in all sectors of the real estate market. He covers a wide range of areas including Asset Management, Finance Structuring and Fundraising. Since inception, Neil has been involved in numerous hotel acquisitions and developments and handles the oversight of existing portfolios of hotels, office and retail properties within the group. Neil was involved in one of the first hotel lease deals in London with the then government-owned SNCF. He is a member of The Hospitality Real Estate Group and is a Trustee of “Different Thinkers,” a charity which helps people with learning difficulties find meaningful employment. www.differentthinkers.uk

SENIOR PORTFOLIO MANAGER
Max’s expertise covers both UK and European wide real estate. He is an accredited real estate agent and specialises in lettings and comprehensive property management covering both group owned assets and his associated property company Propshore. He is a native Italian but is fluent in English, Spanish and Russian which provides critical support for our diverse clientele and partners. He is a proud alumnus of the University of Padua, holding a degree in Business Studies, Interpretation and Mediation.

PORTFOLIO MANAGER

As portfolio manager, Hollie’s focuses her expertise on building client relationships. She graduated with a First-Class degree in History from the University of Warwick where she was also honoured with the prestigious Dissertation Award for her research on social architecture. Hollie has a keen interest in all areas of property and is in touch with the modern trends of our evolving property industry.

EUROPEAN ASSET MANAGER

Izabel handles our European assets and is based between London and Lisbon. She holds a degree in Philosophy at USP (Universidade de São Paulo) and a Masters in Agricultural Biology in California. Being fluent in French, Italian and Russian in addition to her native Portuguese, makes her invaluable in coordinating our client base in Europe.

ACCOUNTS & FINANCE MANAGER

Ledwina is a multilingual professional with over 20 years of Finance and Office Management experience in the private sector. She holds a BSc in Accountancy from Luzon College and diploma with honours from the Wholesale & Foreign Trade Management School of Bavaria.

HEAD OF DESIGN & PLANNING

Melvyn is our most senior architectural consultant and has over 40 years’ experience in the industry. He has extensive contacts in local boroughs and a wide range of knowledge in all aspect of the planning process including architectural design, structural engineering and environmental impact.

CONSULTANT

Akbar has over 15 years of investment banking, capital markets and private equity experience where he originated and lead over £5bn in Real Estate transactions. He has served on the board of various private and listed companies. In addition to Langeland Capital, Akbar co-founded Storfund and is a non-executive director of Destiny Corporation South Africa.

SALES & MARKETING

Jemma started her studies in Toyko and then continued in London. After gaining her Masters in Marketing at Heriot-Watt University, Jemma began her career in the Fashion and PR sector first at Avon then at L’Oreal headquarters in Dubai. She has also worked for three major international estates agents. This combination of industries have made Jemma irreplaceable at Langeland.
